About:
Annette Gates is a studio artist and educator in Amherst, Massachusetts. She shows her work nationally, and teaches craft workshops locally and nationally to students of all ages.
Annette teaches both Ceramics and Design courses, and has taught several semesters with the University of Georgia Studies Abroad Program in Italy. She studied ceramics with Betty Woodman and Scott Chamberlin at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and after earning her B.F.A, Annette worked as studio technician at Red Rocks Community College in Golden Colorado. Annette received her M.F.A from the University of Georgia in Athens, studying with Andy Nasisse and Ted Saupe. Since earning her M.F.A Annette has taught craft workshops in numerous locations, and university courses at Emory University, The Atlanta College of Art, Elon University, and The University of Georgia.
